Our People.
By far the most notable thing about New Fountain is that it is a church full of people who try their best to live out the call of Jesus Christ “to love God with all of your heart, all your of mind and all of your soul, and your neighbor as yourself.” You will feel and find it if you come here. As many churches say but as few live out, no matter who you are, no matter what you have done, there is a place for you here.
Our GOALS.
Our goals are to continue to work on perfecting our young adult and children’s ministries; hold more seasonal and topical studies throughout the year; and, increase our outreach to all segments of our community.
Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Steve Peyton

Steve Peyton grew up in Houston in a family as the oldest of five children. After High School he attended the University of Houston then transferred to Lon Morris College in East Texas where he later left college early to become a full time police officer. During his seventeen years as a police officer he was involved in youth ministry and the church. He left police work for a job in full time youth ministry in New Braunfels. After over four years of fulltime youth ministry, he went back to school fulltime and graduated from Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio in 2005. It was on to seminary in Kentucky where he graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2008 with a Masters of Divinity Degree.
Steve has served as a United Methodist Pastor in: Mt. Edwin, Kentucky, Robert Lee, Water Valley, Pearsall, Uvalde, now New Fountain!
Steve was ordained as an Elder in full connection in 2012.
Pastor Steve and wife Sherry have been married for 33 years. They have two children. Sam and his family are in Austin where he is in the sales department of Texas Coffee Traders and engaged in the live music scene. Suzi is married to T.J. Wiley with daughters Haylie and Ella in New Braunfels, Texas.
In their free time they love traveling with the travel trailer, Steve likes creating stained glass art and playing disc golf. Sherry likes sewing and crafts. And of course, the grand kids!!
