Church Conference
This meeting has been postponed to Sunday, November 29 at 2 PM in the Fountain of Life Center. We will also have Zoom available for those who cannot attend in person but want to participate.

Dear Church Family and Friends,
The Worship Team has been working on plans for Christmas Eve to have a "Service of Los Posadas" -- A Service of Shelter for the Holy Family.  Los Posadas is a Christian, biblical, and evangelistic service that originated in Spain and was brought to North America in 1587 to introduce Christianity to the New World.  This service has been adapted for United Methodist Churches and is found in our United Methodist Book of Worship.  We also will have Holy Communion served in the same format we have used the past several months -- individual prepackaged cups and wafers.
What will look the same is that we will have our traditional fruit and candy bags for all those who attend.  And, we will again decorate the Fountain of Life Center with poinsettias.  However, we are adding luminaries this year to keep with the Los Posadas theme.  The poinsettias and/or luminaries can be donated in memory or honor of loved ones.  We will have more information about that in the December newsletter and upcoming emails.
What will look different is that the service will be earlier in the evening -- at 5 PM.  And there will be opportunities for people of all ages to participate.   We will have books for the families with young children, but won't read the book as part of the service.
This is how the Worship Team needs your help:    We are asking that you respond to this email or call the church office to let us know if you plan to attend.  We need a count by November 22 in order to be appropriately prepared, making sure we have adequate seating and spacing during this season of "unexpected" expectations.   We understand that situations change, and we may be at the mercy of other constraints by December 24th, but we are doing our best to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior together with joy!
Thank you for your help.  We look forward to a meaningful Advent and Christmas season.
